Johnny Squier Has Passed Away

Haven't seen any reference to this but a retired test pilot by the name of Johnny Squier has died in late January. He had the distinction of ejecting from a Lightning over the Irish Sea whilst supersonic. I think he was in a Dutch roll at the time and the fin came away. He was initially listed as missing presumed dead. Having paddled for about 28 hours he blew his whistle to attract attention as he reached the shore. The person on the beach promptly ran off as he was illegally collecting driftwood and thought that Johnny was something to do with the constabulary.
I'm sure that others here will know more about him.
