Negative command response
With reference to aircraft handling what does the term negative command response mean?
The reason I ask is, that my father was sitting and FAA exam recently to become an examiner for the new Sportplane licence in the USA and one of the questions was about negative command response. Neither of us have come across the term before and were wondering if anybody could shed some light on what it is. There were a number of questions in the exam that seemed totally irrelevant to flying kitplanes and microlights, for example questions about gas turbines.
Regards,
Jucky

It could be "the aircraft responds in the negative to normal sense" i.e. nose pitches down when stick is pulled aft, etc. Never heard that particular phrase used for what would be a very pronounced PIO tendency.

A google using the phrase comes up with a lot of IT issues where it is used.
Perhaps the bloke who wrote it forgot he should have been in aviation mode at the time. In which case he may have been thinking of control reversal.
