Dispacher=TRM Turnaround Manager

BA dispatchers are all undergoing a conversion to the aforementioned title. This is as a result of H & S exec and closer observations by airline insurers. the outcome at least at BA is the strengthening of the role with the complete responsibility for all that goes on around the aircraft. which was not entirely the case before.

Hi all!

I didn't know that in the UK there was still that definition if a dispatcher as a ramp guy.
I heard that a flight planner (in charge of wx info, fuel calculations, law and agreements, etc) can get about 28K...is that true?

Not too bad; two spelling mistakes in five words! Which, must be some kind of record. :ouch:

Hmmm, not bad money though, for two years experience!

in response to flyboy1818, you will find that there are 2 ground handling companies at LCY, not 2 dispatch companies.
i am assuming you are employed by the airport as a ramp agent?? this has nothing to do wtih despatching an aircraft and certainly nothing to do with the loadsheets???!!!! all despatchers at LCY are fully trained and licenced in both manual and DCS weight and balance (have i lost you yet?) and are more than capable of producing loadsheets, whereas most 'rampies' as you call yourself struggle to count the correct number of bags you have loaded and sign the LIR in the correct place.
i think you really should have a look at your job description.

Dispatch Salary

Hello, I work for a medium sized Austrian biz jet company as a dispatch trainee (meaning I am a pilot with frozen ATPL but no dispatch licence yet) but I do the same stuff as our fully validated dispatchers ...

14 * a year (standard in Austria) I get a 2300 EUR gross. As I am single, no children that means a 1550 € / month after tax = net. Totally 1800 € / net month if you make the average over 12 months. That´s quite okay taking into account that I have neat chances to switch to cockpit in 2008 as I see the company growing nicely :-)

Yours lusthansa

No actually, I manage just fine thanks -

So, apart from the finger trouble; you also seem to have a runaway mouth!

Perhaps, you need me to come and teach you some manners?

You sound pretty arrogant yourself.. Do I detect an issue with the English? Are you German perhaps? You seem to need some help anyway..

Cheers.. It was so nice to meet you! :yuk: :yuk:

All I know is that dispatch get six pence more an hour than customer service where I'm from!! Well worth it!!!
