UKOMA Courses

I would be interested to know how relevant the UKOMA course is, and if people have found it useful in day to day ops.

cheers

For a novice, Ukoma is a very good insight into Aviation, and specifically Airline Operations.

For someone whom has been in and around aviation for a few years at a junior level, I don't believe it is worth it.

It's just my opinion. I had been within aviation for several yrs, before a new employer decided I would be attending UKOMA.

A complete waste of my time. I was already competent in all areas of study, and it was an unessecary expense for the employer.

On the positive, it's good to meet people from around the country, and socialise with fellow ops bod's. Apart from that, it's a little bit to basic, to really bring any benefit to a company.

For the record my opinion is based on attending UKOMA approx 5yrs ago, and therefore stand to be corrected, if people feel that this course has improved during this time.
