Training

I am an ops person looking to learn more and want to know where's best to train further.
Ideally I want to do an aviation based degree, or another well recognised qualification (such as City & Guilds)....as long as it can be done via correspondence.
Just wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction?
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Cheers all!

.... or the FAA ticket still seems to be the one carrying any weight ... www.agschools.com in the states do a distance learing course.... otherwise apparently Jeppesen are going to be providing the FAA course, starting this year at either LGW or FRA.
