Angel Estimating Total Trip Costs – How Are You Approaching It?

Hi everyone,

I’m curious how operators and pilots currently approach estimating total stop costs when planning a trip. By this I mean the combined costs of FBO services, airport fees, and fuel pricing at each stop.

From what I’ve seen, it often takes quite a bit of back-and-forth with different providers, and costs can vary depending on the handler or routing. Some operators seem to rely on historical data, while others request multiple quotes every time.

How do you usually handle this? Do you prefer to get quotes directly from each provider, or do you rely more on estimates until closer to the trip?

Would be great to hear different perspectives.
