Dispatch release based on Method 2 DD

Hi all

I got a dispatch release based on Method 2 for driftdown. We don't fly many routes that require Method 2 so it was unusual.

As I began to look at it, it only had 1 decision point with instructions that prior to the point, we should return to the departure airport and after the point, we should turn right to our diversion airport.

There was never a second decision point indicating when we could continue to the destination airport.

The manager of dispatch kept telling me that the second decision point wasn't required.

It wasn't a big deal but shouldn't that second decision point be required for the flight planning to be complete?

Anyone?

I would think you would need a second point. How does the crew know in the event of an engine failure whether to turn for the DD alternate or press on to the destination?
