landing permit/enroute alternates
Hi,
not so long ago we had a discussion in our flight ops department over the issue we haven't reached a conclusion yet. While planning ETOPS/non -ETOPS alternates which are not situated in countries you're going to overfly (say we're travelling eastbound over Mediterranean Sea, LTAI was chosen as an enroute alternate without having a TR landing permit), theoretically do you have to obtain a landing permit for each enroute alternate airport?
After hours of research I've came to conclussion that this issue is not regulated etiher at ICAO nor at national level whatsoever so there're pretty much wide spectrum of opinion about it.
probably this one belongs to the "questions" section, please move it there.
