Does this sound kosher?
Y! SPORTS
Delta bumps entire flight to accommodate the Florida basketball team
Taken straight, the airline's logic that they could have salvaged both flights as described in the article seems reasonable. The only thing that bothers me is wondering whether the same logic would have applied if both aircraft had been for scheduled flights, or if both had been for charter flights. Would the airline have made the same choice? Or are there other factors that may have influenced their decision in this case?
Anyone care to shed some light on this? Does the airline's explanation sound reasonable to you? Are they hiding something?
