Tech Stops

Morning all, I'm doing some reasearch and could do with the help of those of you that make flight plans for transatlantic flights.

On the face of it it would seem to me that if EGGD had cost effective enough fuel, then it would be a realistic tech stop point for flights from the USA to ME etc, where the aircraft could not make it direct.

Please ignore the historically high price of fuel at Bristol, there is a new contract in place which is significantly cheaper, especially for tech stops and higher uplifts.

Getting to the point.

1. What City pairs work for this.
2. How cheap does the fuel need to be to attract this sort of work?
3. Where do you go for a spalsh and dash now, and how is that?

Thanks for your time.

Phil
