Dispatch/TCO Menzies Manchester

Just started training as a dispatcher and I was wondering if any people could point in the right direction on what I should have on me whilst doing flights etc.. And if anyone has any tips, that'll be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

It's more realistic, trust me

But, your average dispatcher will have...

  • Folder (ideally one you can close to prevent paperwork getting wet during rainy periods)
  • Pens, you can never have enough
  • Calculator
  • List of airport phone numbers, Menzies should be able to provide you with one
  • Training notes etc
  • Ear defenders - Don't think you won't need them because you will, I found out the hard way
  • List of aircraft types with ICAO/IATA codes for Safedock if you aren't too familiar with aircraft types
Personally, I don't take anything out with me other than Ear Defenders and dispatch from my back pocket but each to their own.

Good luck
