UK Dispatcher job

Hello, Is there a minimum age for a UK dispatcher. Is the normal route to start as a baggage handler and the get the company to train you. Have heard different things from different people.
Thanks

Minimum age for an airside pass is 18, there's no age restriction on being a dispatcher.

The usual route to dispatch is getting a job with a ground handling agent either on checkin or the ramp as a baggage handler (ideally checkin so you get to know the systems / processes behind it all) then move down the food chain into dispatch

It is possible to get into dispatch without any aviation experience though, depending on who you know and how desperate they are

More lickley its because of shift work. I believe you can not do shift work until you are 18. But I may be wrong!

Don't think you can work later than 2200 and earlier than 0600 if you are under 18. Also, health and safety guidelines usually state you have to be 18 to go airside
