Dispatch / Load Planner In Uk?
Dear everybody,
Anybody out there who knows if and how the major Ground Handlers in the UK are recruiting? I guess they are using agencies – which? Servisair, Menzies´ and Swissport own web pages don´t say much about vacancies (Menzies doesn’t´ seem to advertise there at all).
I work as a Dispatcher / Load Planner (title seem to vary depending on which company you work for – Handling Co-ordinator, Redcap, etc, etc) for Menzies (former Novia – Menzies bought “Novia Sweden” at ARN & GOT in 2008) at ARN/Stockholm since –99. Got a lot of other related experience – Steward, Ticketing Agent, Check-in, Charter Rep/Guide, etc.
Asking Menzies ARN about vacancies abroad? Don´t think so – HR are not even remotely interested in anything outside ARN. I just want to move….

Doubtful you'd find anything at this time of the year when most companies are looking to lay people off for the winter months.
I'd personally suggest writing or emailing the station manager at the airports your interested in personally as a lot of companies don't advertise

Menzies doesn’t´ seem to advertise there at all
Good luck in your search, not sure which website you were looking at for Menzies, but the folowing is their public site, suggest contacting the person or people in the locations you are interested in.

Hiya i have just flown from Stansted Airport under Menzies Aviation for Easyjet Flights. I spoke to Airline Dispatcher who told me to send CV into The Recruitment Place.Com they deal with the staffing at Airports. I am trying to get into Aviation Industry myself as would like to change career and become a Dispatcher. Does anyone know of any books i can read or where i could possibly do my course, i am trying to research it a bit just to see what is required. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Working in construction trade at the moment as Appointed Person for Lifting but industry has gone to pot with the recession. If anyone can help me be great.
