As I always like to know where my airline's little birds are at the moment, I'm trying to find out more about professional (i.e., gnd ops, flight following etc.) uses of virtual radar, like FlightTracker, RadarBox, SBS-2 etc.
Any experience? Pleeeeeeze?

I've got the AirNav Radar box and it's excellent. The only downside of this product is the out of date info with flight routings and some registrations. I've not gone for the 3D option, can't see the point of it personally.

Try Flight Sentry by SITA, it's a variation on Flight Explorer that gives ACARS position reports worldwide rather than just radar data that FE already uses in UK/US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand.
CDM (ground radar) is also gradually being rolled out across Europe, LHR has it.
