Why would getting another job at this time of year be such a problem for an experienced despatcher??? Both the other handling agents will be looking for staff soon and experience will always count, that's why the three new staff we have on line training this week are either former despatchers or have other airport experience

Swissport BHX keep Flybe

Last min change to tender dropped price per T/R to peanuts undercutting all others, have heard that they also agreed to accept a horrendous SLA with penalties galore built in, SH has really scored a winner for Flybe with this one.
Have also heard Gate granted a handling license but no idea who they will handle?

I heard today that they have done the same with Monarch as with Flybe, drop the price to a ridiculous figure to keep it. I am also told that 10 staff are being made redundant this week. What is going on?? Looks like they are being lined up to be sold of. Very tough times ahead for those that are left.

I have heard from a few people that Monarch have signed a new contract. I was quite suprised, was expecting them to go.

If they have it will be for peanuts......The Pilots will be moaning for another year then at the attrocious service.
How they expect to service a contract with fewer and fewer trained staff is beyond all logic.

Swissport have also retained the Monarch contract at LGW for the time being aswell as picking up Fly-be and strong rumours of Aer Lingus
