Very Short Haul Flight Profiles

Hello all,

I'm hoping someone out there can tell me what a typical flight profile might look like given that the aircraft to be used is an A320 going for example from London to Manchester (130 nm roughly). ie what would the max altitude for such a flight be and for what proportion of the journey would you cruise there, if you cruise at all?

Cheers,
Keeks.

This detailed enough for you?

As you can see Max FL is FL180 from 1744 to 1754 so your cruise is about the 10 minute mark.

As another example, PHNL - PHKO is 163 NM, and is flown by B717, B737 and CRJ2 aircraft. They'll climb to an altitude between FL190 and FL230. The B717s file for FL190 and level off for 5 minutes or so, while the CRJ2s and the B737s file FL230 and typically never level, but just touch 230 and start down.
