At this moment, it's the nature of the business with Airlines, Banks and the financiers getting very twitchy indeed. If the Airlines aren't filling the seats they're not going to fly so it affects us all on the ground as well as Thin Controller rightly says.

It's now just over two weeks since Gill went down and I know for a fact that some ex flight deck crew are working for DEFRA in the Northumberland area helping to disifect farms after the Foot and Mouth scare.

Shows you that all these CRM courses we put them through actually work.

As for the ex Ops staff at Gill? Still nothing in the local area or for myself in Scotland. Was turned down for a job as I was "overqualified, would find the work boring, was low paid and the job was for someone that could only do that job" hence wouldn't proceed with my interview.

We keep trying and the glass is "half full as opposed to half empty"

Chins up everyone, we'll get there - sometime.

Highland are looking for a 6-month Temp Ops Mgr, maternity leave.

It may at least keep the wolves from the door...

There's jobs down south - err... shall I give you a clue...? Sounds like www.gamagroup.com... Nope, no clues.

There you go JB - no mention of job vacancies at all!!!

Ref Highland Airways.

"Position filled" - and that's official.
Great how you hear about a position before it's advertised and submit C.V. before it appears in Flight and a week and a half later a letter saying the position's filled.

Crazy business.

Onwards and upwards.

Hmmm. That seems a bit unfair.

Not like they're of a size where they HAVE to advertise externally - so why waste the £450 on an advert in Flight?

The world's gone mad. Or stupid.
