Rostering software

Hi there,

Just had a quick search on this subject and couldn't find any definite solutions. Hopefully you can help...

I work in the ops department of a small UK based adhoc charter company, which operates 8 aircraft using about 25 pilots at three bases spread round the country.

I have a few questions regarding rostering, which I have recently dabbled in using a highly time consuming excel spreadsheet.

How do other similar airlines roster their crew?

Does rostering software exist that takes account of not only basic rostering but incorporates ftl, annual leave, training, renewals etc?

Any input is kindly appreciated!

Did you end getting an answer to your question about crewing software?

Cheers,

Some websites to browse:

http://www.acrobatico.com/

http://www.aims.aero/index_new.htm

http://www.navitaire.com/op_and_rec/geneva.asp

http://www.sabreairlinesolutions.com...ate/rocade.htm

Of the systems listed above Acrobatico is likely to be the cheapest, however, I suspect on a cost basis you may be such with the excel spreadsheet.

Good luck

Sorry mate, with the numbers you refer to, why the wish to be computerised. Used to run 15 aircraft and up to 300+ Crew on 3 fleets on paper. Much easier, even given Cap n Co on each fleet, Purser, No2 and 3 grades all different type qualifications. Worked with Red and Green lines and we introduced B735, J41, CR2 and CR7 to the BA11/J32 fleet with ease.....

Reams of A3 paper, pencils, rubbers, red and blue pens and Tippex, cheap at half the price.
