Security pass question

Seen a ground job for TNT at EMA which refers to 'aviation security level 4' clearance being required...

Can anyone tell me what this means and what checks are done to get that clearance?

Does it entail working airside? If so, a five-year checkable work history and a Criminal Record Check from Disclosure Scotland I believe is 'all' that needs to be done.

This is not a clearance as such, rather is a half day cargo security awareness course. Depending where you are, but you can almost get it done anywhere in the country. There is a company at LHR run regular courses on Level 4. Tel:020 8831 9888
