Dispatcher interview

I have an interview for dispatch at gatwick on Friday (they've given me very short notice), I think I know what it's all about but would just like a bit of clarification. Could someone give me a basic description of what a dispatcher does?

Also the interview is a group joby and they require a 3 minute presentation of my choice. I was thinking along the lines of airline industry growth or US and Europe dispatch differences or should I go for a more basic subject?

Thanks for any help you can give.
