Menzies Aviation @ LGW ???

Have heard a couple of rumours that Aviance is pulling out of LGW and Menzies Aviation will take over from them???

Anyone else heard anything or is it just a vicious rumour ????

Servisair

I agree, forget 9/11 and low cost carriers, its Servisair which is draining the ground handling industry dry of profitability. Handling everything for f*** all. Airlines are quite happy to receive cheap handling, but arent quite so happy to receive inadeqete service. Every handling agent now is striving to try and undercut each other, who suffers?? - the workforce!!

Both Servisair and Aviance have to tender for their LGW licence this year( 7yrs are up). New entrants can also apply.

Be very surprise if either lost the right to operate from LGW, due to the experience, and number of staff they employ.

Aviance seem to be on up at LGW, with I think every new contract going to them recently, and they have regained their good reputation.

Rumour has it that Menzies are looking at a EasyJet self handle partnership....it would be a big blow to Servisair
