MAN-Life in the UK

Hello all, didn't know if this is the right place..but here goes.
If i take a job in MAN (i'm from asia) and offered a job that pays...5.50 an hour..would i be able to 'survive' with the basics..I.e. small room..transportation meals etc on a monthly scale ? Or should i think it over carefully ?

cheers all

It depends on how many hours you are going to work but I would still give it a good thinking over.
You would not be living the high life but I would say you would be able to get by.
The cost of rent, bills, car insurance, fuel etc soon add up so do your calculations first.
