Do a little research before applying, particularly with regards to your prospective line manager...............

I applied to MYT (again) through an internal vacancy list but this time as a CSA..

when they rang me back they asked if I wanted check-in or dispatch, when I said about not having dispatch experience they mentioned the course I'd just completed..

anyway my question, is it possible to get direct entry into a dispatch position? or is one required to have had vast experience in a similar job?

forgive me if it's a silly question, it has got me wondering

Hi Rachie

The current vacancies are for flight planners. Basically generating the daily rotation plogs, checking wx and notams, long haul flight planning and a general interest in OTP/slot management.

Cheers

I think it can only be posted

just as quick really..

OBK - on the vacany thing I have it has CSA level 1 (so pax handling) and CSA level 3 (sounds like despatch) no mention on flight planners - I'm not being picky or arsey about it, just commenting

The CSA1 and CSA3 jobs are for the Ground Handling Services section. The flight planners jobs are in the Operations Control, Flight Support Department.

The CSA1 job is basically a check-in agent.

The CSA3 job is a CSA1 and a Traffic Agent combined.

(There is also a CSA2 grade which is a CSA1 and ticket desk combined but I think these positions may be filled for the summer)

I believe they are still looking for seasonal full and part-time CSA1 and CSA3's for the summer.

As for the Flight Planners in the Flight Support/Operations Department i'm not to sure.

Hi,

OBK!

Do you know what the minimum age for job applicants is for CSA at Level 1?

Regards
