Moving from Ramp Agent to Dispatcher

Hi

I have been invited to attend an open day with Aviance for a job as a Ramp Service Agent at Heathrow and was wondering if someone can give any idea of what the open day consists of and what the job actually involves.

Ideally I'd like to work in Dispatch and am wondering if it's possible to move from a ramp agents position to a dispatchers position and what sort of time scale this might take.

Thanks for your help.
