Summer Work Experience

Hi

I'm interested in gaining some experience this summer in working for an airline. I'm interested in flying for an airline in the future, so I'd like to gain some relevant experience. I'm more interested in experience than pay and was wondering what type of temp. work (if any?) is available during the months of July/August. If you guys have any information related to this or can give me some guidance I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Some airlines take on temps over the Summer period.

I have a friend at ServisAir who worked there last Summer and does the occassional weekend nowadays. He works in dispatch, but I'm not sure if there's usually potential for much more than passenger services/checkin.

Best thing to do, I would say, is get a list of airport operators from your local airports website and send a CV off to them. Keeping an eye on relevant jobfairs might be an idea too.
