All the info you need should be on this website. They should be able to advise you what's most suitable.

In case it's of interest, I used Sitatex on my PC at work, which tends to be pretty good... It works on a normal dial-up modem, and you connect to send and receive mesages. It also gives you the ability to send faxes (if you so wish, but apparently rather expensive), and seems very stable.
