So it wasnt a crash then. Just a burst tyre.
I delt with G-GEMC at CWL on friday and I couldnt see anything wrong with it and would have no problem flying on it.
Have you had a bad experience with emerald???

"ther sh360 crashed at liverpool today."
A Tyre burst !!!!!!!
One must presume with your non de plume that you are in some way associated with the aviation industry.
Only comment suitable would be that with your employment, has your village found a replacement ?, if not i suggest you take up the mantle again. Leave aviation for those with a brain.

I agree - also, the famous Leeds United aborted take-off at STN a few years ago (it was NOT a crash) was actually a remarkable display of airmanship on the part of the Captain and FO (and excellent professionalism on the part of the Cabin Crew).

yes emerald are c**p. it wasn't a crash, but it doesn't really fill you with confidence about them, don't forget it was only a few weeks a go that a peice from one of their 748's was found on the runway ('twas G-ORAL if i remember)

With spelling that atrociously !!!!! one assumes that gobfa and cwllpl are one and the same.
I suggest you ring Flight Ops at the CAA and complain about the standard of Emerald's FOI if he/she are so lax as to have missed the many thousands of events about which you know...

Sounds a lot like CWLLPL and 03 are one and the same. Given the use of language, DADA perhaps?
Obviously have to agree with Fouga and the rest, this idiot has an axe to grind.
As a pilot of this company I have to admit it has faults, but a tyre burst can happen to anyone. Like most airlines, if the tyres are worn, we change them. That is notonly down to management, but the decision of the professional aircrew who operate these aircraft. We will not take them with bald or marginal tyres. I have yet to be presented with one that was.
As for the 748 'incident' - perhaps CWLLPL would again like to check his facts. No part of the aircraft fell off and in no way were the flight crew at fault. I won't even go into the Leeds team incident which has just been summed up much better than I could do here.
All in all, a pity this person can't just do us a favour and drop himself in the Mersey. Some of us work hard at Emerald and are building careers. We don't need vicious comments and outright lies like this to inflame a sometimes touchy situation.

Daifly,
Just to put record straight, no I am not cwllpl in disguise, check my location.
My post was made in the hope that he/she and 03 headset man, would THINK before posting such comments in the future, this site is not exclusive to those in this industry.
Jafo33, all the best to your company with passenger operations, if you search cwllpl's other posts you will come to realise that he appears to be employed by one of the handling agents in LPL a good case for self handling.

Yes, read a AAIB report last year re an Emerald 748 incident over the french alps where it got into servere icing and could not climb due service ceiling reached or decend due MSA, hence flt planned routing was incorrect for A/C type, seems the airline got b******ed from CAA for this incident according to the report!

hopefully emerald will self handle, no company wants to handle them, they are awful to deal with.
and just so everyone knows i am not GOBFA or DADA or 03 Headset Man.
and can i ask, how much fuel does a 748 burn on a flight from lpl to bfs?????

What a load of old crap. The Shed blew its tyre out due to sharp stones on the runway, from talking to the crew it expolded in a fairly spectacular fashion, but it wasn't due to a worn out tyre.
Made a mess of the nice new paint work on the sponson though!

I think CWLLPL works for Aviance, well!! what can ya say.
The SD-360 is one of the most solid a/c in the industry I think, even if that thing landed with no wheels nothing would happen to it, and I hardly think a tyre bursting was a CRASH!!!! get a life!!
I remember Emerald doing LPL/LBA on mail runs, no probs there, I wish they'd come back.
JAFO33!!
As you work for the company can you tell me why the ATP has been doing training all last week at LBA I understand that it has flts elswhere but are any planned for LBA?? ifso we will welcome them with open arms!!
CHEERS!!!!
