Aviance (UK) - Whats going on?!

Does anyone know whats going on with Aviance? At LGW they have had an external recruitment ban slapped on them. Personally have been waiting for my CRC (delayed of course due to the usual nonsense!), was contacted yesterday that they would have to withdraw thier Formal offer of Employment (dated Sept 19th), was advised that it was not a "slur on myself" (no comments please!!). My details will be kept on file.........WATCH THIS SPACE!
My understanding is that Virgin Atlantic are looking again at Handling contract at LGW. However, at LHR they have a joint company with Aviance called "Plane Handling" does anyone know of the situation?
Heard from an old colleague yesterday that (rumour I hassen to add and doesn't work for the company!), "......alll new employees from 1999 onwards would be departing the company (Aviance)"
Would be grateful of any information.....

Aviance

Mad-Air,

I'm at MAN where supposedly they have just taken on approx 30 more staff on permenant contracts. Haven't seen any new faces as of yet, but they will no doubt be making an appearance soon.

I think the idea is we are getting several new contracts very shortly and so they do need more staff. Not quite sure what's going on down south, but it seems every airport has their individual problems. Apparantly AV at LPL lost the easyjet contract, and so they are reducing in numbers, so anything could happen to any of us.

All good fun, although will be nice to get something at the sharp end instead of pulling boarding cards.

I was ex AVS LHR and LGW.

Aviance LGW

Its true that VS are looking at renewing their handling contract along with air2000(who have just re-signed). plus I hearsd that thaey are trimming staff for winter season.

AVS do the CLP work for VS network wide + ramp c-in and have traffic officers at lgw.

As for plane handling yes they are a joint venture GHI or Aviance (whatever you wanna call them) but they are still viewed as seperate entities, plane handling being the more professional(and they pay more for dispatch)!
They concentrate more on CGO at lhr and do ramp handling for VS, GF and CX plus others at lhr plus GF dispatch.

The Ops MGR at LGW for AVS is a very good bloke, the rest of the company, well my advice..... steer clear mate, try Groundstar or Servisair..... or better still an airline

I've left AVS and not a moment too soon, bad at LGW worse at LHR.
