BTEC Aerospace Engineering Mechanical

Hi

I have just enrolled on an Aerospace Engineering Course Mechanical and was wanting to ask about what people, who have already been on this course, think of it.

Any general comments are greatly appreciated. Also does this course involve any cockpit study or is that part only for the Avionics side.

Thank you

I can't speak for the BTEC but the degree course of same subject generally only covers the cockpit so far as control geometry's impact upon flight mechanics.

I interviewed half a dozen Aero-Eng graduates for a job a few years ago and took along with me a blown up cockpit photo. Each of them I put a copy in front of them and asked them to point out the main controls and explain what they did - most of them couldn't manage.
