SK76 Hydraulics (priority valve)

A question has come up about what will happen to the #2 hydraulic system if a leak develops in the utility system downstream of the priority valve.

The priority valve is scheduled to close if system pressure drops to 2250lbs or below.

If the priority valve closes at this pressure, will the pump rebuild the system pressure forcing the valve back open until the system is depleted of hyd oil causing a total hyd failure, or

at some point in the deceasing fluid level will the prioity valve close and the pump will be unable to build enough pressure to open it due to the lack of fluid remaining in the system but the system pressure will remain at approx 2250 lbs since the downstream leak is effectively blocked by the prioity vavle?

Any takers?
