B737NG modification t install full QAR/OQAR provisions
I am looking for an "off the shelf" approved QAR or OQAR installation package for 737NG Ac types which includes installing wiring and mounting tray.
Anyone know if such a thing exists?

Get in touch with your nearest Thales Rep and ask about an STC. I'm pretty sure they had a 737 package when I was looking for the same for a B767.

OQAR
KLM have OQAR's fitted to some of their fleet. I know this as I was involved in installing them in 2 of their a/c. This was a full upgrade on their -5/6/700's aquired when they merged with Air UK, including additional wiring for extra parameters.
However, I have a feeling there is a slot in upgrade, where you take out the old floppy style QAR and just put in the new OQAR.
Check out Boeing for a relevant STC.
Why they can't just integrate the DFDAU and OQAR I will never know!

Try these people at Flight Data Systems they might be able to help.
QAR's have come a long way in recent times. BAE Systems use a CQAR (Card Quick Access Recorder) on helicopters fitted with their HUMS. Typically 32 Mb cards are used for 30 hours flying at standard data rates.
It depends on how much money you want to spend really.
If you are stuck for some more reading try and see this HOMP site and see what the data gets up to.
