Question Any Advice for a New Canadian Apprentice

I was just wondering if their were any canadian engineers that have some good advice on how to get the first job in the industry. I recently graduated from an ATO, and am still trying to land the first apprentice job. Any help would be much appreciated

first job

There is plenty of work for those who want it. Where do you live? Are you willing to go anywhere?
What do you want to do (fling wing or fixed)?

Well, I am looking anywhere across Canada but I haven't received any replies to my resumes and letters I've sent. I've also heard that the fall is a rough time for finding a job in aviation. Any ideas that might help me get going in the industry would be much appreciated.

Thanks for replying to my original post

Get a copy of wings magazine. In there is the publishers # Call and order the directories for fixed base operators, charters, flying schools, and approved maintenance organizations. This will give you the name and address of the director of maintenance etc. Mailing out resumes has limited results because hundreds of other guys are doing the same thing. Meet them face to face and have your coveralls and toolbox ready in the car.
There are alot of places in the lower main land.
Keep going back even though they say they don't have anything for you. Good luck
