Voltages for Incandescant

Does anyone know whether the incandescent light bulbs used for cockpit lighting are special in any way? Do they require highly stable voltages or are they relatively forgiving with regard to noise or ripple or any other form of spikes in the power supplies?

The older 1864, 313, 327, 387 etc style lamps just last longer if everything is stable Noise and ripple above 28VDC will shorten their life, and depending on the frequency may even be visible.
