AUSTRALIA: CASA first/initial type rating help (OJT question)

Hey guys,
So the question is on every new B2 LAME's mind who is working for an organisation who has type rated aircraft, but does not have an OJT system set up and will probably never set one up, how does one go about getting these FIRST/INITIAL type ratings on their licence.

Do I need to leave my current job which I'm currently very happy at, and go to a joint that has an OJT system set up? I'm pretty sure companies would not like the fact that they are being used just for OJT and then have people leave after being trained.

Would it be best to leave it to training organisations that already do the theory....AA for example?

You won't have to leave your job... You'll need to get in contact with a Part147 RTO and be prepared to hand over a decent some of money
