Hi
Have been considering an aeroplane powered by one of these engines.
However, one engine re-builder i hold in the highest respect said don't go near them as the parts are proving harder to get and he, for one, would no longer take on the job of a rebuild.
So, anyone here able to offer me their technical observation/opinion, I would appreciate it.

I overhauled an o-290 and the best thing I learned was that it is not a common engine today because parts for it are so expensive. I highly recommend avoiding this engine not because of performance but because of price of parts.
