Red face Airbus Wing tip break

Small questions for the avionics maybe...

if I remember correctly on A330/340 wing tip break on slats/flaps could happen when aircraft is de-powered for more than 10days.. the self test is being done and when it does not find the date or when the date is older than 10 days it locks them up.

my question is, is there anywhere that AMM says this exact info? as I cannot find it.
Also if you disconnect the batteries does the clock immediately loose the date/time? or they will be lost after 10 days?

I'm confused on this
