ACARS Question
Can anyone tell me, what ACARS message (and the format it might look like) is automatically transmitted when an aircraft is on gate, doors shut and ready for departure/pushback?
Is there a message sent before the parking brakes are released or is it totally dependent on the brakes being released?
Also do most airlines/aircraft use ACARS still?

Have you tried Googling "ACARS decoder" ? There's probably an application for your smartphone.
ACARS transmits whenever it is programmed to transmit.
There would be very few modern airliners without ACARS

ACARS Question
That doesn't tell me, what I've asked... I've researched the net and couldn't find the answer to my question. If there isn't anyone here who can answer is there anyone who knows where I might be able to find out?

ACARS reporting
Off blocks and on blocks ACARS reporting depends on airline configuration.
Some airlines have brakes only,
while others have L1door (cargo doors) closed and brake and/or beacon.
Some airlines use even doors and wheel spin!
Background on this is that the pilots are being paid for off blocks to on blocks!
By cheating every day they may work up to 3 weeks less per year on long haul routes
Cheers
