Job Title: Flight Operations Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our busy flight
operations technical group based at London Luton Airport. Reporting to the
Flight Operations Technical Manager, the overall purpose of the role will be to
provide flight operations support.

Duties will include airfield analysis, fuel and cruise performance monitoring,
the production of safety critical airfield performance data and weight &
balance documentation for our fleet of Airbus and Boeing aircraft.

To apply you must have an aeronautical engineering degree and want to
pursue a rewarding career in commercial aviation. You must be computer
literate in order to benefit from the full training that will be given in the use of
manufacturers software programs. Good communication, teamwork skills and
the ability to produce detailed and accurate work is essential. Previous airline
experience would be advantageous.

This position is permanent and offers the concessionary travel benefits of the
Monarch group of companies.

Sounds like a fantastic opportunity...

I believe that I was entered for that job about 18 months ago by an agency. I was then rejected by HR for not having an Aeronautical Engineering degree...

I only had 'mechanical' as my degree... no mention of the five years in Flight Test or ATPL passes I also had on my CV, though.

I wonder if HR have struck again...
If only these people had a clue about the roles they were recruiting for.
