Licenced engineer?
Hi All,
I’m looking for advice on the route to become a licenced engineer. An apprenticeship seems the most obvious route but since I have a degree (science/maths subject), and the way apprenticeship funding is allocated according to people’s age, makes me feel it’s unlikely that a graduate of my age (25/26) will be taken on.
In the past year I have applied for British airways, easyjet, and Virgin engineering apprenticeships, but have been turned down each time.
Has anybody else been in a similar situation or able to offer any advice?
Thanks

hi vizzy you have to be prepared to live away from home, there are more outfits than the three you mention - look far and wide, the first few years will be tough, go and see hr in person to deliver your cv - be nice to these people keep trying do not give up all the very best
