LRTT EasyJet EASA PArt-66 A1.1.

Hello folks,

i am fresh out of AMT college (3 years) and starting to look for work. I don't hold any EASA Part-66 licenses yet, so obviously i first need to work on that.

I am researching the companies that offer complete Part-66 training and just wanted to ask if someone knows anything about this offer from LRTT:
Latest News and Events from LRTT // EASA Part 66 Training
http://www.lrtt.co.uk/assets/downloa...revised_ML.pdf

I am originally from Croatia, does that mean i am eligible to apply to these apprenticeships, often posted on LRTT website? The biggest factor would have to be finances, all of that sounds pretty expensive to me.
Yet they adverstise "excellent prospects for full employment at the end of the placement."

Another example offers:

http://www.lrtt.co.uk/assets/downloa...20Airlines.pdf

I have posted the same questions on the LRTT Facebook page, no answers yet,
thanks in advance!

If it is an apprenticeship then you are employed and paid including exams.
We had a number of apprentices who trained at LRTT and that was the case.

I received a short reply from LRTT a few minutes ago:
Unfortunately the apprenticeships are only open to UK citizens due to visa restrictions.
Apprenticeship is 16 months in duration, student visa is valid for only 6 months so, not for students outside UK

Croatia becomes a member of the EU on first of July 2013 so a six month visa followed by normal access granted to EU citizens should work for all of next year.
EU citizens dont need a visa.

I would try again.

LRTT

If you want info' about LRTT from someone who studied there, drop me a message. I complete the modular side of the part 66 A1 course there this year.

Must make it clear, I didn't do their apprenticeship, The airline I work for paid for a few of us to go and study there for the modules only.

Great stuff, lucky you...i hope i will get my chance, while i'm young... there are maybe three or four Part-145 companies here, and one of them is our national carrier, which i would really like to work for, but things are not great and they will not be hiring any time soon. When they do hire, there is a looong line of people with more experience waiting, so things are looking slim. I will try again, but i think i will have to look outside Croatia..

In a post higher up I made a comment in relation to LRTT which could have been construed as a criticism of them.

I have deleted it.

I have been a customer of LRTT on several occasions and have no problems with them and I recommend them.
As I am currently booked on another of their courses I even recommend them to myself!!!!!!!

Poorly written piece on my part which should not have seen the light of day.
Thanks to the pruner who pointed out the potential ambiguity.
