A&P Question

About 10 years ago I got a letter from a A&P field rep which allowed me to take the A&P exams. I did not get around to it but still have the letter.. Does anyone know how long its valid for..

You have 24 months to take the required tests, so unfortunately your authorization letter expired 2 years after you received it.

I was allowed to take mine 12 YEARS after the authorisation letter. That was in 2007.
It's a case of going back round to your field office, and see what they can do for you. The FAA rep was very helpful and re-issued my form.
Good luck!

Cool

Mine didn't put a date on so in effect they are still vald some 15 years later!

Your "authorization" form signed by FAA - do you mean form 8610-2? Legally there is no expiry for that.

But once you start taking your first exam, you have to finish it within 2 years.
