Ferry permit for G reg aircraft - advice ??
Wonder if someone can throw light on a situation I have
Have a G reg Cessna Citation which is out of CofA.
Wishing to ferry it back to the US where it's either going to be returned to service and placed on the N reg or dismantled and broken up.
Can I get a ferry permit / permit to fly issued from the UK CAA for such a trip ?

To get you started see cap 562 buried in there somewhere or was
http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/33/CAP562RFSComp.pdf
and link
EASA Permits to Fly | Airworthiness | Operations and Safety
and
Ferry, Test and Positioning Flights | Airworthiness | Operations and Safety
gives a good overview

As a thought I'd have thought it would have been cheaper over in the US to bring it back to service is there any great reason to haul it back if you are thinking of taking off the G reg

You need to complete a CAA/EASA form 18b, form 37 and form 21 and send to A & A at Gatwick. If you do it right and pay the fee, you get the permit allowing positioning for maintenance.

Blufin,
Thank you for your input.
You are correct it is far cheaper to bring this back to service in the US hence the requirement. Our wish is to fly it back to the US, deregister it and then either breakup or return to service on the N reg and then keep it there and resell it.
