residual press on ECAM
am working with Airbus 320/321. I see a problem relates to residual press on ECAM shows 100PSI even when Blue sys is depresurized. Does anybody know why?
I'd tried to replaced transmitter 02 times and did measure wiring as well but problem sounds existed. FCOM just says limitation when presurization is 3000+/- 200PSI. Capt always complains this althought i see this sounds ok for dispatch a/c.
thanks for your support.

It's going to be around 50 psi because of reservoir pressurisation isn't it? With a tolerance as low as +/-50 psi this is fine.
If that's all you have to worry about then I guess its a good ship!

I was just on a 300-600 and the green res was at 150psi, y&b indicating 0psi. What I would do is pull up the ops check for the indication and if it says nothing about resting at 0 psi sign it off. On the 300-600 we have an idiot light for the head pressure being low. You may be over thinking this.

airguy , is it depressurized as in blue system s/w'ed off or, that plus depressurized as in residual head of air pressure also bled off the reservoir?

I don't really see a problem and either should the driver you are talking about.
Our fleet has over 60 Single aisle AB. Some show a residual indication some don't. The main thing that it is indicating that 3000 psi plus minus 200 when the pump is running.
Best wishes

When de-pressurised, it shows 100PSI on HYD SD page then comes out after long-time waiting without pressurisation Blue (few hours in cold config approx).
I dont think head press affects this 'cos if rsvr press is low/high, another msg comes on at another location.
Do you have other ideas?

Airbus indications are notorious for fluctuating. They are sensitive little darlings.
At 100 psi I wouldn't be concerned nor should the pilot. Unless you are going to open the hydraulic line for any reason, that sort of stored pressure is acceptable. And that would be the reason you fully depressurize a system before breaking into into with the manual DP valve.
Anyway, its nothing for a pilot to worrying over, unless Airbus tells you different.

What runs of the system in question? Is it possible to safely operate something [or rather try to] to snuff the residual pressure [if it's actually there in the first place]?
Are you thinking leaking accumulator or along those lines, but there would be other indications surely ie dropping to/past base pressure??

from batch
Does anyone agree that problem always caused by f..k transmitter batch ordered from supply? For the 4th replacement, no f..k wrong indication present. I dont know when this is coming back.
