Unresponsive FAP
Guys. A question for the Engineers. Have an A320 with an unresponsive FAP (the old button style) which occurs during the flight. The lights are on but buttons are unresponsive.
On the ground the buttons are slow to respond. Upon checking the panel next to the FAP the message CIDS DEGRADATION - CHECK FAP message appears.
Any ideas?

How old is your FAP?
There's a TFU from a few years ago for FAP freezing up.
Have a look at TFU - 23.73.00.085
However as Basset Hound say you really need to do the TSM task first if you haven't already (I appreciate you may have and the FAP might pass).
TSM is 23-73-00-810-866-A
We used to get a lot of problems with our FAPs and the Airbus response was to reset the FAP c/b on 121VU. If on the ground tripping and resetting the CIDS director c/b's and all of the DEU breakers usually does the trick.
