DA42 Gearboxes

A question came up recently about the acceptable oil level for dispatch for a DA42 fitted with the newer 2.0 litre diesel engine.

On the old 1.7 engine, I seem to remember that it was recommended that the sight glass was completely filled with oil, and any less than this was unacceptable and needed topping up before the next flight.

I understand the recommendations are different with the newer engines, so would be grateful if anyone qualified to advise on these matters has an informed opinion, or if anyone can point me towards any written manufacturer's recommendations?

Thanks
