UHF Radio

Hello all

I wonder if anyone can help; I am looking for a refurbished UHF radio transceiver and head to install in a light twin. Does anybody know of a supplier? I have trawled the net to no avail, and don't really want to pay for brand new if I can help it!

Thanks in advance

UHF radio

Do you specifically want a UHF "Air band" transceiver?
If so i think you may be out of luck, very few civ customers hence limited supply. You could try eBay but i’ve only ever seen vintage mill UHF kit.

Any radio equipment used in aviation needs to be type approved which rules out the majority of your typical PMR kit.

Best of luck

"UHF" covers a wide band of frequencies. In which are you interested?

You need to find a Honeywell KTR909 system with a KFS599A controller. Suggest you try www.seaerosapce.com or PM me and I'll supply one.

UHF Controller

Try George Bernard at Balance:

balance industries homepage

Bear in mind that all UHF gear is now covered by US ITAR export restrictions.
