A320 electrical connections at fuselage join
Hi
I had a look around the A319 assembly line last week and have seen that the two sections of the Airbus fuselage come pre-wired and factory tested.
I'm just wondering how the wiring is joined. Is there a huge bank of plug couplers at the fuselage join, or do they through crimp them or perhaps a termination board?
Through crimping would give you a high chance of getting it wrong during assembly but plug couplers are surely more susceptible to going open circuit or high resistance.
Do you ever get any problems with these joints?
It's just curiosity as I used to a signalling engineer on the railway.
Cheers for any info
