Cool

hadn't heard it but makes sense, as the LHR hangar ground is leased for 10 years, must be up soon, and BAA want to get rid of the BMI hangar and build a terminal there.

I'd vote for V at STN

that sounds like a good idea if it's true, room for 2x 747 plus ad hoc 737 / A320 etc, the diamonds been waiting for some sound management ever since it opened & Mr B might just be the guy to make it work, fingers crossed for those under notice there.

I heard a "wispa" that Virgin were going to STN, but it was to do with there crew being duel based at LHR and LGW and the problems that will come about with their ID cards as LGW is no longer a BAA airport, so maybe, lets hope, after all lots of good prime slots at STN.

Stansted needs to get rid of some of it's cheaper dosser airlines as it just can't cope with the current passenger flow. They'd have to build a new terminal to accomodate the planes, but thats the good news. Bad news is excessive fees, very expensive parking, poor transport links (M11 closed again) and security that Hitler would be proud of. It used to be the best new airport built in Europe, now it's a cash-cow for the BAA. Do Virgin need the adverse PR of such a place?

Virgin are not going to STN makes no sense, LGW hangar only uses 2 bay days per week, balanced with EZY E check inputs going to 10 per week .
