EASA STCs
Hello everybody,
I have a question about STCs. Can a member country (Italy) engineering company issue an STC on a plane with an other EASA country member registration (UK) keeping it on that registration (G-reg)?
I hope I was clear enough. Thank you very much.

An EASA STC is valid in all member states, regardless of which country the STC was produced in. So an STC produced by a UK-based EASA Part 21J DOA can be installed on any EU-registered aircraft that the STC applies to.
Also, any EU Part 145 organisation can certify the STC installation on an aircraft on any EU register provided that the Part 145 has the aircraft type on it's approval. A Part 66 licensed engineer can also certify the STC installation on any EU-registered aircraft he/she is type-rated on unless the aircraft must be maintained under Part 145 (so light aircraft certified under Part M are OK)
Hope that makes sense.
