JP54 Jet Fuel

Hi All

Can anyone advise if JP54 can be used instead of Jet A1 from an authorised fuel supplier.

Is JP54 used in commerical aviation ? - Could anyone please tell me the exact differences from Jet A1

Thanks

Mattie

This is one of the best docs out there for aviation fuel

No mention of JP54 though? Not heard of it myself, we only use Jet A-1 on ours although wide cut fuels are allowed if theres no alternative but lots of work is needed flushing tanks and replacing filters if this is done.

From what I gather it may be jet fuel brewed to Russian specs but equivalent to Jet A1. See it referred to as Aviation Kerosene Colonial Grade JP54.
